The mission remains very close to our hearts as we both are aware of the devastating impact cancer has on families. Sia has witnessed this firsthand, having to see a few family members take on the challenge to beat cancer. Luckily, all of her family is now living cancer free, but no one should have to battle it in the first place. Therefore, when this opportunity arose, we both immediately jumped at it. We are eager to dedicate our time to help find a cure for Leukemia, Lymphoma, and potentially all cancer. While this is a big aim, we know our help is valuable as even small efforts go a long way. We both want to live in a world where battling cancer doesn't consume the lives of many people and their families. We believe that at the end of this journey, not only will we have impacted the lives of those battling cancer, but we will also gain lifelong skills that we can carry forward.

Together, we can save more lives. Thanks to your support, our journey will help fund the essential treatments that are keys to living cancer free. Nothing can be achieved alone, which is why over the years, with the help of more people, advancements have been made to increase survival rates drastically.

The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Every dollar that goes towards our campaign makes us one step closer to winning the title.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
